Do I understand that correctly Nighthawk?

Yes, You understand me the LM will dock to the CM and the service module will be connected to the command module.
Made a little picture up for everybody...I hope it helps...
Thanks,

Hello,

I enthusiasticly support all of these projects and cheerfully look forward to them being available on eCardModels. However, it seems a shame to want to put the spacecraft in a docked configuration. I do not see how to join the LM and CM together without losing much of what makes Kens model so appealing, the interior, due to structural considerations. Again, my preference would be a focus on the interesting aspects of the CM/SM. I would prefer for the LM/Rover to be a separate diorama.

My tastes would lean toward an emphasis on the SIM bay and interior elements similar to and of the same quality as Kens CM.

On a side note, it would be very easy to attach the CM and SM using the umbilical fairing (that housed the wiring bundle and plumbing guillotine) that is already a prominent feature of the SM, without compromising the ability to separate the two.

Regards,

Cris

Quick question

If anyone has information on the EPS/ECS radiator (that is a big feature of the service module) it would be useful to have that information because I can't find much about them...
Also information on the panoramic camera which was in the experiment section (diagrams of the experiment section would be useful) would also be useful.
Thanks

I guess you would find every detail you need in David Week's famous Apollo drawings set. They are available from Realspace models in printed form. I didn't see them in person but from what I've heard, they are the most comprehensive and reliable drawing set of the matter.

Arrow

Can someone check my measurements:
The diameter of the service module should be 32.6cm
The height of the SM should be 61.4 cm tall (That's where I could have gone wrong!!!)
Thanks,
nighthawk78

I owe you some information. Let me check tonight... The bpc should just fit over the SM.... but because we are dealing with paper, and builder's tolerance for circularity, the SM should be inperceptably undersized.

Hello, I hate to cross post ( I also posted this in Kens thread) but...here is the Apollo Operations Manual that goes in to great detail about the various systems of the CM and SM.
