Thanks Michael,
slowly but surely I'm struggling along ... You have finished much more quickly with the SSWS Pipes.

Wow! I get put out sometimes on just building a roll cage in a race car. Your work with the tubing is just amazing.

Thanks whulsey,
when everything is ready, it will look but scratch-building of all these tricky pipes and tiny supports is pretty stressful. But I nevertheless will not let loose.

Man, this thing just keeps on being an epic and educational project.
It has probably been said, but now I'm wondering what metal all that plumbing is made from so the booster exhaust doesn't melt it.

Thanks Guys for your interest.
@beckychestney: A lot of practice and patience, and a little bit dexterity, that's all what you need. @southwestforests: Because the stress of the material during the launch was really brutal, all parts were made of high-strength and heat-resistant steel. And so the MLP looked after every launch. Source: capcomespace.com (MLP-1/STS-101) Therefore before each new mission all the stuff had to be sandblasted and repainted again and again.

Imagine what it would have looked like without the water deluge system! Yikes!

Wonder what NASA's water bill looked like after a launch......
I presume the water deluge system used fresh water.
