Nice! I'm building a 200% scale LM. I built it at 150% scale. My camera is broken so no pic's.

Great work. RCS nozzles are a challenge in any scale, let alone 1/96th....

Thank You Vermin_King, Dlazarus6660, dhanners for your kind comments. They encourage me to keep the build alive.

Here the first steps on the descent stage.

Sorry

Sorry for the lack of posts in the last days, and as you can see two new characters are following my work closely.

In addition to various family commitments I was distracted by the construction of the model. On the one hand I began to draw an astronaut in scale and do the test model.

On the other hand, visiting the site of Julius Perdana, I found the white version of the Gundam Sinanju and I tried to build the head. Then one thing led to another and I completed the torso.

I think I needed to build something great, after so many reductions, and the magnificent design of the head dragged me into this adventure.

This does not mean that I will not complete the LM, but that I will carry on all three projects, perhaps more slowly, but all three.

Best, Nando

1/96th Lunar Module...

Nando...
Your work is truly amazing on this build! You must have some love for the subject because it shows in your craftsmanship. Superb work! I tried a 1/96th build myself a few years back without success. I can use an example such as yours here to top off my 1/96th **astic Saturn V stack! Here are a couple of picts of mine with some of their **astic counterparts!!

Talk to ya later...
Bill

Wad, you can see in the picture below (sorry for the poor quality) the gold foil I bought some year ago on ebay from Australia! At that time I wasn't able to find something similar nearest and I bought this product, paying lot of moneys for the shipping. I think You can find something similar near you.
For the magnets, i used a magnetic door stop (in the right corner below). The magnet is fragile and you can easily break off pieces with the dimension you need. A small iron piece complete the aggregate. You can still see, on top of the magnet, the break line i did.

I hope this answers to your question.

Best, Nando
