Corvettenutts,
This is a great project and I commend you for your excellent design work! I started trying to design the LM many, many moons ago using the Monogram Plastic model as a reference. Personally, I think there cannot be too many models of the same subject; different designers solve the construction differently as well as the different levels and types of complexity makes each design unique (not better or worse). The different models should also appeal to more builders because they will build the one that they feel comfortable making, depending on their skill level. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing your completed work. Best Regards,

1/24th Lunar Module
Hello,
Thank you guys for the kind words! ...I kind of wish at this point in the build that I would have "painted" it.....but that's ok.....it will just give me another reason to do another one! Ron, your right about the different levels of skill or the ways a designer goes about putting his models onto paper, I`ll be happy with this one if it looks good built and its scale-like without a lot of time and effort. I know myself sometimes I`ll look at a model and maybe if it looks too complicated, I might turn away or wonder how everything fits with a high part count. later, Bill couple more picts...

Rendezvous Radar Antenna
Corvettenutts, your LM is growing up strong and beautiful.
If i can, I'd like ask a question about the antenna of the rendez-vouz radar. It seems to me that you mounted it reversed in this prototype. Looking at the real thing for my small LM, I found some pictures and the antenna is oriented forward and upward, as we can expect for a means used in the rendez vous maneuver. Next, it seems to me that the dish is a bit too large and the tube under is a bit too long, but I could be wrong, deceived by the photos. However here some reference that, I hope, could help to understand my thoughts. My compliments! Best, Nando

1/24th Lunar Module
@ Nando...
Thank You for paying attention! The bar underneath the antenna dish is a little to long....I had noticed that also after it was together! I`m not sure how that one got by me! That will be fixed. The antenna dish itself is ok in diameter.....maybe its just the pictures. The antenna assembly is able to swivel and rotate...by the dish being able to move, they can adjust it for the best transmission or reception. Below in the picture the dish is facing up, probably to better communicate with the command module. Thank You! later... Bill
