Space Launch System
My most recent build of David Brown's SLS, this time using specialty paper to represent the foam insulation on the core. The original white tank SLS is currently in the office of a friend that works at NASA.

Oh that's great! The special paper really does the trick, doesn't it? Lots of depth in the model. You really did a nice job there.

Wow, Dyna... That looks s beautiful! What a fantastic build! Your skills are most impressive!
I don't know if you guys remember this, but I was the Director of Communications for the now-defunct DIRECT Team that got the Augustine Commission to recommend cancellation of Constellation in favor of the SLS. We (the team) recommended the Jupiter-120 and Jupiter-240 to replace the Shuttle. Our engineering team met with NASA during the presidential transition in 2009, and I built the 1/144 demonstration models that were used in that meeting. Those models are currently on display in the library at NASA-HQ in D.C. and have been since January of 2009. Dyna, your models look superb, and would make a great addition to the collection at NASA-HQ. |

I still have my Jupiter 120 and 246 models. I honestly think SLS is where we should have been to start with.
