What?!? No 1:200 version of Ken West's Apollo astronaut?

Just kidding, of course... This is so realistic! I love the prop wash over the waves. How did you form those circular wave patterns?

The waves themselves were made with transparent acrylic paste. It dries up rock hard. The waves were moulded with a flat straight brush which I pushed up and down into the wet paste while holding it flat This kind of pulls ther paste up a little and by doing so it becomes a wave head..
Once dried up, I used one of those fan-like brushes (like the ones Bob Ross liked to use) and with my wrist at one central point I drybrush the wave heads in a circular movement. Then I also add some straight blow lines from the middle to the outside.
Hope this is clear, I wouldn't really know how to explain it otherwise... (-;

I've been wanting to build the Seaking for a while now but I have never gotten to it, now that I see this I might just have to now!

GREAT JOB!

Thanks, Matthew. The build of the Sea King really was easy and a joy. Hope to see your version here too one day.

That was a pretty clear explanation. I think I can picture the process pretty well. The result is truly life-like. Incredible job!

Your black and white Jules Verne's photos would make perfect illustrations for a "Earth to the Moon" childs book.

They are not black and white in any way, Chris, they're full colour. The model however is completely in black and white. (and halftone patterns)

Superb concept & execution. I love the feeling of action it conveys. One can almost hear the rotors beating the air...
