Few more scratch made surface details including vents. Prominent rivets added using punched aluminum foil. Quite a few more needed. It’s a slow process.

Holy Cow!
That looks incredible! Keep up the good work. I am sure that that will be a museum quality model by the end, it will look great if you do a diorama base with it too. Keep doing what your doing, Ill be checking back in!

Finished adding prominent rivets to the ascent module, and put a skin of black construction paper on the Rendezvous Radar Antenna. I decided not to skin the antenna mounting brackets.

Added a few very minor surface details. Placards on the back of the mid section, some position lights and their placards, and seam tapes near the docking port.
Now all that is left for the ascent module is to install some antennas and components that have already been built. After that, on to the skins and surface details for the descent module. |

Significant milestone reached. The Ascent Module is essentially complete except for installing the EVA antenna which I will do as one of the finishing touches at the end of the build.
The forward section of the Ascent Module has been permanently attached, so the interior is fully sealed, never to see the light of day again. Installed umbilicals, antennas, steam vent, tank support beam, and other various details. Now on to the skins for the Descent Module. |
