Part 339a,b,c,d form the IMU Housing. Since they are part of the exterior skins I used aluminum tape on the surfaces and added rivet details.

Part count to date: 730

This is looking brilliant Wichita. Thanks for also detailing the materials you have used, very use information. I would strongly "second" eagleclaw4935's idea of displaying the build construction pictures along with your model. Looking forward to the next installment!

Regards and take care

Kevin

Added the detail skin to the front hatch. Scratch built a small step in front of the front hatch, added ‘heels’ to the bottom edge of the front section, and attached the bezel on the front flood light.

Very small detail added...small triangle shaped pieces at the top corners of the hatch overhang. Also a panel line and rivets above the flood light.

It’s been both informative and a joy to watch you build this. Thanks for sharing.

Dhanners and shalmaneser3...Thank you for your kind words.

Just a couple small details added...grab handle left of the hatch, and the small half-round things on the small step in front of the hatch. Does anyone know what those are or what was their function? I saw them on photos of the Apollo 11 LEM but don’t know what they are.

I think there were handles on both sides to facilitate opening the latch and the forward hatch. Not sure what the half-rings are for though.
