Hi guys. I知 following this thread and finally I found some time to start with the design of the Starliner ( CST-100). My plan is to make three versions on different scales, a 1:100 for the ISS docking configuration, a 1:96 that will match my Atlas V model, full Model with the aero skirt. And there will be a 1:48 version (capsule and service module only. I feel more obligated to finish this model this time because of the fact that now I have a YouTube channel where I show tutorials and there will be videos about this assembly. Here are some pics of the 1:96 capsule so far.

I知 done with the deflector rings. A lot of math involved in the angle and curvature of these things. Came out nice.
Done for tonight. I値l resume tomorrow. |

More to come. |

I’m also working on the 1:48 version with room for details. I’m trying to see how feasible is to punch out those little holes on the deflector ring. I guess you guys can do this much easier than I. You need tools but it will be painstakingly long process.
Here’s to compare 1:96 and 1:48 versions. I think you guys will have fun with this step. |
