Great job! Leaving out insulation blankets is not a significant issue because these were most likely not installed until just before launch due to interference with testing and maintenance. I enjoy seeing the underlying detail.

Good luck! The engines are quite fiddly and take time but patience will get you there. If you PM me your email address I can email you the latest designs for the stages missing from Greelt's original design to have a bash at.

Got them! Oh these are so cool. I didn't have the instructions or the updated files! (the scale ruler is nice also.)
Thanks a bunch; now I don't have to guess and hope I got it right.(I would have been wrong on to on the SII forward skirt too.)
These look great; much better than the ones I have.
That's some really good work legal01.

Humbly
Rocky

Yup that looks like some of the files that exist for stage two, one thing I dont have is the designs for the pipes running to the engines, would you be able to send me a copy to add into the final design?

Cheers

They aren't actually designs, they are just something I whipped together with Paint.net & Paint.
But you are more than welcome to tinker with them and make them your own.
The JPEG size is: 2479 x 3508 and 630 Kb for the ducts
And you can have the retro rockets too if you want them. (2479 x 3508 @630 Kb.) In case they get resized here; PM me with someplace to email them if you still want them.
Just print them on 8.5" x 11" (216 x 279 mm) with "fit to" ON
(set printer to [Letter])

Instructions are: Roll parts 1 and parts 3 into tubes and glue.
roll parts 2 to fit inside parts 1&3 but DO NOT glue them in the tubes yet.
make 2 cuts in the inner tubes as shown with the seam facing away from you.
then test fit them by sliding them into the J2's fuel duct and the tube(1 or 3)
Mark them and glue in place in the outer tubes.
Glue parts 4 over the cuts to hide them and hold the curve in place.
Part 4A for tubes curving toward you, parts 4B for tubes curving away.

All seams should face away from you and toward the thrust structure

Oh yeah..I about forgot; fold a piece of card stock to use as a spacer to leave room for the interstage ring to slide up into!

Just a quick update on the test builds on the new stage designs, now stage three, built in four sections that glue together, so far not much to tweek and just the detail parts to add.

Thanks to Rocky for the pipe details for stage two, they have been converted to Vector and test built and will be added in the Mark III version of the design to be released shortly!

Thanks for the pics, looks great! I can't wait to get started!
But......I gotta finish this first (the way we started our builds, looks like we're going to meet in the middle. )
Here is my progress to now. Checking fit; real close but nothing touches. (you can slide 110lb. paper between it.)
Moving on to the tank now.....finally!
