milw!
Check out the Drawings at the bottom of these two pages: for the CM: Command Module(CM) | Apollo Spacecraft | APOLLO MANIACS and for the SM: Service Module(SM) | Apollo Spacecraft | APOLLO MANIACS Bengt in Stockholm |

Thanks for the link, Bengt- I wasn't aware of that site.
In addition to Daves construction manual, for the LM I was able to find this lighting description. I'll probably use an Arduino to control the lights, so the pulsing strobe can be turned on or off, and brightnesses adjusted. |

LED Lighting in LEM Models
Great reference, milw!
I will use that for the EduCraft LEM, if I should decide to install LED lighting in it. Could you please tell me what an Arduino is, and where to obtain it? Is it some sort of master control for small LED lights? Best, Bengt in Stockholm |

Bengt,
This is so cool that your going to do this LM. I hope that you post a lot of build picts as I will be following along! Bill

Arduino LED Lighting Control
Thank you for the link, Manfred!
Very interesting indeed. I need to take a long, deep look into this. I can see many uses here, for ship models, too, e.g. the RMS Titanic and the SS Nomadic... Best, Bengt in Stockholm |

Edu-Craft LM-5 Lunar Module 1:32 Scale project
Well, Bill...
I don't know just now when that will be, so no promises at the moment. I have a lot of unfinished models to complete first, so I will just unroll it as it arrives (it comes in a tight roll!), cut the large sheets up, and put them under heavy flat pressure, between large cardboards, for the time being. Meanwhile, I assume it will take some time to buy and assemble all the extra material needed for this complicated 1:32 scale project (wires, various correctly colored aluminum foils, clear celluloid, etc) Best, Bengt in Stockholm |

Hey Bengt,
here you can see David R. Maier standing next to a full size Lunar Module. Source: facebook.com, David R. Maier

That is a full scale mockup of a generic LM at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum located in McMinnville, Oregon. Been there. A fantastic place to do research. Also the Spruce Goose is there among other items.

Thank you so much, Manfred and Michael!
Great photo! I'd like to go on a tour of the US some day, and I would very much like to go to the Evergreen Museum, to see the real Howard Hughes' Hercules! That's a fantastic plane - what a giant, made up largely of spruce plywood during the early 40s. I would of course also like to visit Kennedy Space Center in Florida and the Air and Space Museum in Washington. That could be quite a trip! So far, I have only been to Kennedy Airport and New York City... Bengt in Stockholm |
