Talking Orion EFT-1 with Delta IV Heavy

Hey guys,

Over the past holidays I've been working on AXM's Orion EFT-1 with the Delta IV heavy. And I'm pleased to say that it's finished!

I've uploaded a few images of the build and I'm very happy with how it worked out (and fits nicely in the display cabinet). Also a thanks to Michael for the Launch Table.

Anyway with my first AXM build out of the way it's holidays over and back to University for me! I hope you enjoy and I'll be back after the next semester working on the next project.

Mitch

That looks GREAT! Alfonso's models are really something else, aren't they?

That's a very good looking model indeed. Great job! Did you make the case yourself?

Thanks for your kind comments

AXM builds are superb, looking at the space shuttle as my next project

And no it's just a display cabinet from IKEA, fits really well

AXM does design great models and you did a great job in building this one.

Big model. Very nice built!

And, dhanners. The display is IKEA, very affordable.

I usually avoid Ikea like the plague but for that display case I think I'll make an exception and try and find it there. (It was me who asked, not David)

Haha! There actually is an Ikea in Kuwait! Amazing. Never thought there would be one over there. Don't know why I thought so, actually. There's one almost everywhere.

Jasper,

look for the Detolf display, I have two of them, and each shelf was a different theme

Hi Rick, Yes, thanks. I just found it. It's capable of having two floors of bigger rockets, by the look of it. 163 cm so about 80 cm for each 'floor'. I now have a large Ivar (yes, also Ikea, but I didn't buy it myself but it's a leftover from a previous relationship and very handy indeed) chock full of models. It's more like a storage cupboard than for actually displaying them.
And, they're gathering busloads of dust and with those dioramas in particular, that's a drag to keep clean.
