I like your method of the base construction. It speaks to the intense counter weight. Those pics are great looking! I'd say, post it. Maybe someone offers a solution to the graphics. I didn't hold much hope of your being able to connect the mesh on the conic of the reflector but you seem to have pulled it off? Or was it antialiasing that you dealt with.

Model looks good from here. I agree - please post it. To paraphrase sreinmann, you never know, someone might come up with a solution to your problem.

Thank you for your encouragements.
I'll try to post it by the end of the week. I've tried for a couple of hours earlier today
trying to get the mesh graphics on the conics to match better, especially when
you glue the two ends together for form a conic from a flat sheet.

The antenna is so large, it comes in two separate prints, glued together in the middle
then glued to a conic at one end.

Plus the top part rotates like that of the real satellite.

Now, I'm working on IKONOS, The world's first high resolution imaging satellite.
So far, it's looking good.

Great design! Plenty of detail and some nice engineering thrown in on the antenna - well done!

Thank you Yogi.

I'll try to place it in the downloads section tomorrow.
There's a small flaw in the alignment of the mesh graphics on the
antenna when it's rolled into a shallow conic which I can't
seem to fix.

Still, it's a unique model to build.
