About the NASA "worm"....

Some interesting history:
NASA’s 1975 Graphics Standards Manual is reissued via Kickstarter by Jesse Reed and Hamish Smyth of Pentagram.

Love the logo on the aircraft the most although all are very evocative.

I never particularly cared for the worm logo... just seemed so BLAND... stylistic nonsense...

I was really glad when NASA returned to the meatball logo... it's classic looking.

Later! OL JR

I understand that there are those who don't like the meatball (I am NOT of of them), I can understand that it's kind of hard to replicate/draw, it doesn't scale down and retain a lot of detain, etc... But it certainly is a recognizable emblem. When my daughter was just a tiny thing, she knew that logo. At age 2 she could point at it and say NASA!

The worm, I never really liked. I mean I dig it, it was a 70's thing. Really simple to replicate, but dang it's as ugly to me as the dorky hair, bell bottoms and polyester shirts.
