Oh, hi guys. One more thing: TKS. You can build the basic TKS configuration as a block, or with detachable VA capsule and FGB separately.

Have fun. Should anyone build any of these, let me know and share pics

Hi!

Thanks for the praise, but it not for me. I kitbashed the thing - for the rear I used John's Mir module, for the VA base I used Czechoslovak Apollo model from the 60's and I just did the coloring, panels, tanks and the "nose". But I'm glad you still like it

One more thing. Having done all those Salyuts and Almazes, the 4/5 rendesvous and finally the ASTP I felt like honoring one more man.

You will not be forgotten, comrade Komarov.

And so this is Soyuz 1.

Wow,

I knew the early soyuz spacecraft looked different, I didn't realize they were that different.

Not that different - this one looks generally like my previous Soyuz 4/5 model, though quite different from the ASTP one.

Most changes in the orbital module area: the docking ring were just to anchor, without internal passage. This changed with Soyuz 11 and basically they look the same since, with the exception of antennas instead of panels for the 7K-T model, and then the external covering in Soyuz-TM and newer. The ASTP Soyuzes (three of them) had the APAS (APDS) docking ring, instead of the usual SSVP. There was one more SOyuz with APAS, used to test the docking node of Mir, used in the Shuttle-Mir programme.

Anyway, looks like i have a bunch of Soyuzes accompanying my Salyut series. Looks like I'll be assembling all that once again...

Also, this very one has the broken panel - on of the reasons the missin ended up as a disaster...

OK, logical next step. Polyus. With both launch and orbital configuration.

Comins as soon as I test build it.
