Compact Space Shuttle

While searching for pics of the space shuttle, I saw this comical picture of the space shuttle without the cargo bay area. Obviously, it was photo shopped.
I thought wow, a compact space shuttle, it should get much better gas mileage.

Anyway, I decided to try and design a paper model of this.
I use the Atlantic space shuttle from AXM website, removed the cargo bay area, tweaked a couple of parts and re-draw the wings. I hope this is OK.

The result is shown below. I think it game out quite well.
If I was to make it available in the downloads section, I'm trying to figure out where to put it - manned or concept section?

Also, do I need permission from AXM to do this so I won't get into trouble?

This will be a fun and unique model to build.

Maybe bigger engines and more of them and maybe Super Dave will get interested. I look forward to seeing that one. wc

Very interesting! nice kitbash. I could see this with missiles all over it and space command stickers. Ask AXM weather he would host the model then suggest you could put it here I suggest space conept.

I just came across with this thread and decided to take a look and what a surprise you have given me! Don't worry, it doesn't bother me. On the contrary, it made me laugh!! That's ok, it's a fun model and I like it.

I know you're having fun with it and I have no problem you putting it in the Download section.

Great SD style model, even without the cargo mid section it still maintains the overall shape and looks right. Would definitely like to see this in Downloads.

The picture I saw on the Internet also made me laugh and I had to try and make it into a paper model.

Shrink the tail and it would look cooler, in the opinion of this observer. Nice build....

I Just uploaded the model in the Space / Concept section in the downloads section.
It should be available tomorrow.

The wings was the most challenging for me, if anyone have some
problems with them please let me know.
