HL-10, M2-F3, X-24 lifting bodies

I just saw where a website called Fantastic Plastic is bringing out a trio of 1/48 resin lifting bodies next year: the M2-F3, HL-10 and X-24A. I suspect their price ("TBD") will likely require sale of several arms and legs, with which I'm reluctant to part....

Any of our intrepid designers want to take on these subjects? I'll be glad to do the research. I have Carl "Surfduke" Hewitt's larger-scale versions of the HL-10 and M2-F2, but he never did instructions. They may work well as references, though. (Note: the X-24B would be a much easier design than the A model.)

Any takers?

I'll volunteer.

I remember somebody has one at their local museum. They could probably be talked into going for pictures.

Yup, I have all those. As I noted, problem is no instructions.

The X-38 prototype is at the museum here. It was based on the X-24, is that close enough? I have pics.

I went through a lifting body phase in Sketchup a few years back if anybody wants to take a shot at converting them to paper. They were some of my first 3-D models, so they might require a fair amount of clean-up.

I found this image of a three view of the X-38. I think you can buy a better resolution one from the site.

For reference shots, there is this NASA page

This is just the type of models I was looking for when I joined quite a while ago. I have a bit of fascination with the lifting bodies. I have vacuform versions from Eagles Talon, Resin from Collect-Aire, P*****C from Mach 2, all quite expensive. I would prefer to build from inexpensive sources first instead of taking a $100 kit and doing something I would regret.
