I'm trying to put the model IN the classroom - not the classroom in the model. It ain't the size ... never mind.

Hey Pete!
Cool rocket! I built Ton's Saturn V 3 years ago. It has held the test of time. The Saturn V and its Apollo payload is one of man's greatest achievments EVER! I also thought about building it in 1/48 scale, and I was planning to mount it in stages on a large wall in the basement. With lights and placards! Insane, I know.... Ken |

Pete,
The center picture in your last post shows the business end of the Saturn V. I have actually stood in the very spot where that picture was taken. It is truly a remarkable site! HUGE! The rocket you see in that picture used to be sitting outside in the weather next to the Vehicle Assembly Building. Thankfully, someone woke up and realized that this masterpiece needed to be preserved.... hence the Saturn Display building (museum) was constructed. If you ever get to the Cape, it is a must see!!! Wonderful job on the Sat V. Ton does EXCELLENT work. I built his 1:96 scale Sat V But I used Greelt's F1 and J2 1:48 scale engines printed
at half scale. Made for a beautiful and detaled Sat V. I'm in the process of making a display case for it, then (as I have no room to store it) I'm donating it to the local childrens library. |

I was recently at the science museum in Oklahoma City, where they have F-1 and J-2 engines on display. You ought to go there if you ever find yourself in OKC with some time on your hands. It's too bad my camera decided to lose battery power just as I arrived. LOL
