Outstanding! I live near Cleveland. I used to visit Glenn often. The father of one of my classmates worked there, so i used to visit back in the days of wire-wrap terminals & punch cards. Later, I used to go to the visitor's center when it was open. Recently, my daughter's school was invited to young Astronaut day in the hanger. I will definitely stop by GLSC next week to see your ISS. Congratulations.

No the base and plexiglass top and screen were provided by NASA Glenn. If I get back there anytime soon, I will try to take some better non-glare pictures showing the TV screen behind the model. From a certain angle it looks like the station floating in space. I believe the "movie" the run is the one found on NASA sites showing the rotating earth as seen from the ISS.

Sorry my pictures don't show this, but there is a monitor continuously playing a film of the earth rotating underneath the ISS. From a straight on view it looks pretty cool.
