Asroc: great thanks!

bennn: yes, the 1:144 shuttle from AXM will fit just fine. You just have to look for the proper payload, including the in-bay docking fixture (which was, by the way, Russian made and intended for Buran ).

Awesome job, godai!

Are the Soyuz your own design, or did they come with MIR?

I have been thinking of making a 'SpaceHab' with parts from John's "Deep Space Cruiser" model and from his version of MIR; however, my Modeling skills aren't there yet, and AXM's Soyuz scaled to 1:144 looks so daunting to build! Also, I haven't found an Orion CEV that I'm satisfied with, either...

Maybe just a pipe dream.

Alan

VP - great thanks.

This is the original SSoyuz model made by John, I just repainted it. Well, I repainted the Soyuze dosens of times :D These are very simple - I have separate Soyuz 1 and Soyuz 4/5 model if you wish. Also lots of version along with my Salyut / Almaz space stations.

Some tip - as crazy as it may sound, Orion is almost the Kvant module Needs some work, but I may coome around it one day and produce somthing as simple as that Soyuz and the Apollo.

As for the Spacehab - ssome kitbashing should do. Think along the Donatello transport module or something similar. Most of the big guys allow reusing their work as long as they're asked for permission and it is not commercial

Paper Spacecraft are probably about the coolest genre IMHO. Nice Mir!

Revisiting this, because I released another model and though this kind of module could make a nice spacehab:

Another Mir thread - 1:144-estacion_colon_thumb.jpg

TBH I think based on this I'll design some spacelab modules...
