Thank you for your encouragement. There are only 20 to install.

Best, Nando

1st stage complete

All 51 engine installed!

My only regret is that all this work will not be visible when the model will be over, but there is a masochist background in every modeller.

Anyway, I can start with the 2nd stage.

Best, Nando

Someone noted that I can show the hard work i did on the engines, putting a mirror below the rocket.
But I already did a base that is sitting on the ground and I won't redo the base.
But I realized that my base is an MLP indeed ( Mobile Launcher Platform), so why not rise it from the ground with some pedestals, like the real MLP at Cape Canaveral?

Here the real pedestal.

So i did some test to see how much I have to raise the platform to see the engines reflected in a mirror .
After some trial I found the minimum elevation. I hadn't a suitable mirror, and in the picture below you can guess the engines reflected on the golden sheet.

Then i began to draw the pedestals, but i had to insert a rampart and the mirror as the bottom of the trench, else the pedestals could be too high.

The result is satisfactory for me. I have perhaps to refine the design of the pedestals and supports.

Best, Nando

Great idea, Nando. The engines also look very impressive. Looking forward seeing the next steps.

First a test with a true mirror to determine the correct height of the MLP

After some rework for the angular columns, I frozen this version

Pepakura and Inkscape

The ramparts

The first angular pillar with some workaround

Just a dry fit

I have to return to the drawing bench, to correct the mistakes and improve the design.

The project will be in hold for some week, I will be busy with something else, but the project is still running, slowly but running.

Best, Nando
