Proton-K

Hi guys.
I've been out for a while but now I managed to finish this wonderful model by Leo.

I made some minor modifications for the sake of simplicity in the construction (such as the way the first and second stages connect).

I hope you like it.

That looks really nice; so what did you do to modify it?

Hi.
Pure imagination in fact xd. The connections in the truss joining the first and second stages seemed rather unstable for me so I replaced it by small paper tubes in the second stage so that they can fit more rigidly the red thin rods in the first stage top truss.

Looks amazing! Well done! How tall is it fully assembled? I managed to sneak a 1:96 scale Saturn V past the wife, but I'd risk her wrath to make anything that tall again.

Hi. Roughly speaking the final model is 63cm tall (slightly taller than the Proton-M model). This model is 1:96, so a 1:48 one must be very impressive!

Great build. It is on my (long) list of rockets to build.
Thank you.

Yes, the "And I've made special modifications myself" tradition of great spacecraft. Or spacecraft models.
