SS Gene Cernan in 1/72 scale
Gang,
Here's my 1/72 model of the S.S. Gene Cernan, the Cygnus OA-8 spacecraft launched on a resupply mission to the ISS on November 12, 2017. I enlarged the model from Alfonso's 1/100 version and rearranged the bigger parts using Gimp. Added numerous scratchbuilt 3-D details that were 2-D in the original, such as the thrusters, docking fixture and some service module hardware. Also covered the printed Mylar areas with household aluminum foil. Enjoyable build. A Dragon spacecraft will likely be next! Les (The Voice of Authority) |
