Pioneer 4, scale 1 to 1, first test build.

Here are the 23 pages I need to start building the first test build for my life size model of Pioneer 4.
Looks quite daunting, even to me....!
I know from experience that most parts will fit quite well, the first time. That's why I can experiment with colored parts, not just
with white parts, which was my usual way of building prototypes.

I'll show you some pictures of the progress, but don't expect regular updates, not even weekly. As I build, I may see mistakes and
then I need to adjust the drawings. All of these things take time.
It's a big project and a big model.

PS. I added a CD and a Revell Acryllic paint jar, to give you an impression of the size of the parts.

Hi Erik,

What size paper did you print them on?

A3.
That's 42 x 29.7 cm.

or 16.53 x 11.69 inch.

It's quite similar to the American B size Ledger sheet size.

If you want to build this one, don't forget to get a lot of cardboard, too. Despite the thickness of the paper, nearly all parts need to be
glued onto cardboard.
And then more cardboard and posterboard will be needed to keep all parts flat and squared.
Yeah....... It's a challenge. A lot of work. A lot of glue, too........!!

But I think the end result will be rewarding. You will have a life size satellite in your collection. And not a cubesat, for once.......! ;-)
