Thanks. But I also way way overdid it. I did the texture maps as 4k x 4k images... which are about 8-16x larger than you'd expect for that. I used so many of these large textures that it consumed so much GPU ram that I couldn't rely upon the GPU for the final baking and rendering of the parts. I need to do that stuff in a simpler manner for the next model.

Off the top of your head, would you happen to know how to contact him? I'll send him some info if I know where to send it. (I was able to do similar with Syd Mead and the first Sulaco I made.)
