Enter the Dragon!
Couldn't resist the movie reference!
Here's my 1/72 SpaceX Dragon spacecraft from the CRS-12 resupply mission to the International Space Station in August 2017. It's Alfonso's design (axmpaperspacescalemodels.com), enlarged from its original scale of 1/100 using Gimp graphics software. I added a few strips of white vinyl tape and other paper panels to make some of the 2-D structures three-dimensional. I also glued a small semicircle of plastic sheet under the attach point of each solar panel for support; at this scale at least, they won't stay level without propping up. This was an easy build for me -- less than two weeks! Eventually, I'll build the Progress, ATV and Kounotori ISS resupply ships as well. Les (The Voice of Authority) |

Wow, it is gorgeous!
It scaled really well, Umtutsut. Well done! |

Very nice. I will sometimes sandwich transparent sheet in something like the solar panels to help give extra support. Makes it last a bit longer before gravity causes a droop
