NASA's TESS
Gang,
Here's my build of Zach's 1/16 Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), launched in April to search for planets orbiting other stars. I made two major changes. Despite the fine-looking foil texture on the model, I decided to cover it with good ol' Mk. I kitchen aluminum foil, dull side out. I also modified the panel next to the cone-shaped high-gain antenna to look more like what's on the actual spacecraft. Overall, an enjoyable build of what I hope will be another NASA space exploration triumph! Les (The Voice of Authority) |

I once tried to glue foil on a paper model, I found that it took great skill to do it which I don't have.
Nice job on this! Zach |

Another excellent build, Les! Your stuff is always an inspiration.
And ghaspacer, try contact cement (aka "rubber cement") when trying to glue foil to paper. If you haven't already, that is. |

Thank you dhanners, I'll give it a try soon. I guess super glue is not the answer for everything.

FYI, I had no problem using Elmer's Craft Bond spray for the major parts.
