Thanks!

Thanks mike for holding back the crown, (and whispering in my ear). I will try to get this cart thru the crowded forum, and up to the viewing stand.

Guys I am just like you. I love to build models and know what i like. We all have different gifts and skill sets. I will try and clean up the loose ends and then we can talk about some new ideas I have too.

I really hope that the Augustine commission finishes up soon and we know what to plan for our displays. I think it will be the Shuttle C redo. We could bash that one together quick, (I think I saw one already for the Cargo version).

Direct is the victim of it's own success. Those guys put up a great fight. They got the world to look at things with a eye towards reuse of existing hardware and closing the gap. The problem is that Shuttle C, (Cargo and Crew), would be so much cheaper and quicker, (Be careful what you pray for). In the end if it is Direct, or Shuttle C we get the moon, and I for one will be happy with that.

Space X put on a great show last night! I say if the falcon 9 and dragon can service the floating erector set, let them do it. We can budget them in on a fixed cost baseline, and get back out of the gravity well with bigger toys!

CAPRI- DUCTUM - Sieze the Duct-Tape!

Carl
P.S.
I love the Early Saturn Rocket Garden a few posts up.
P.P.S.
Does anyone have any pictures of a Skylab build, (Finished or Not), I just want to see whats been going on?!

Soooo glad to see you back. I didn't get into paper modeling until after you had left. I love your designs but was bummed to find that the Mercury Atlas instructions were incomplete, and I'm one that needs instructions. :( Is this one of the projects that you and Mike V. intend to complete?

Welcome back Carl! It's great to see you back with us. We've all been building your models furiously. I'm still working on my Skylab, mostly just waiting on my David Weeks blueprints to arrive (lost in the mail two months ago, and had to be mailed again).
The outer skin is complete at least. I've just been waiting to start the forward truss segments:
