Delta 7 Studios

It's probably too late for me but here goes:
In 2020 during all the first lockdowns, I went on a Gemini kick and bought several models from Delta 7 Studios. I was waiting for the Mercury series to be available as individual kits and never saw them come up as on sale. Today I went back to get Gemini 5 and maybe a couple others, and all the purchase links go to 404 errors. Has anyone used the site lately and had success or did I miss the boat by a long while? I really hope not.

I should have bought all the CDs years ago.

I did build the full interior version. Honestly I was thinking of doing some modifications and building the Air Force version with the tunnel through the adapter section and open up both the doors with actual hinges. I've got all the parts to do that purchased and downloaded but I'm still wanting to do Gemini 5 with the rendezvous experiment package in the aft section...

I was happy to see I could actually get through to the CD purchasing option with your link. The link I had (Home) was the individual item/instant download one. Unfortunately you can add stuff to your cart and go all the way to PayPal and...nothing. It wouldn't let me complete the order.

Have you sent an email to Dan? or contacted him on Facebook?

doing either of those, more than likely, will solve any trouble.

Having messaged Dan through Facebook, and relayed to him the issues, this is what he wrote in return

They gentleman can message me at dan @ breedshill.org

Delta 7 is closed though. I’m working to pull down the old pages.
(remove the spaces around the @ symbol to get a functioning email address)

Thank you for your help, Rick. That's incredibly disappointing, since some of my first paper models were the Discovery and Columbia shuttles and the Mercury capsule on Fiddler's Green that he designed. I hate to see talented designs go by the wayside as the years pass.

Let that be a lesson to you all. When you see an incredible model, support the designer and don't wait like I did! I'm glad I collected some of the models and have them available. I'll be doing a Gemini build from his collection this week for sure.

That’s discouraging. I lost count of how many of Dan’s Geminis I built over the years, in various forms. They’re very well designed, and they provide an excellent basis for super-detailing if you want to go that route.

That was my intention, too. I wanted to work on making the adapter section a little more busy with the interior components. For some reason I always like to see the electronics boxes and fuel tanks that go into a spacecraft. Right now I’m doing Gemini 7 with both doors open and possibly some kind of hinge so they can open and close.
