... not only that but I also indirectly helped out the paper modeling, because the friend, who brought in transmission my and his models, has made an intervention, unfortunately too short, in which he explained the paper modeling

Thank You all for your kind words.

In the mean time I started a new project to celebrate next year the Moon fiftyeth anniversary. I choose the Ken's Apollo Command Module. The first problem was the model's final dimension: I have to reduce it to one half. Therefore a lot of problems arose, mainly about which kind of paper, which thickness: I had to do more researches, more experiments, more tests. I had also to verify if the small details could be done as the design provides, and if not which metode could be adopted to approximate the result. I choose to start with the door of the CM, that concentrates all the problems that I can imagine about thickness, a bunch of small details, etc. Here where I am, with my test and the result is quite satisfying and if the next steps will go well, I let you know, starting a proper thread, but the path is still long, very long.

Best, Nando

Nando, you MUST start a thread on it! This gonna be the definitive Apollo build. Choosing to reduce a superdetailed model like Ken West's one is a very ambitious project. Good luck!

I hope your tests prove successful and you do decide to make Ken's CM in 1/24 scale. I would really enjoy following your build (as I am sure lots of other people would).

Regards

Kevin
