All four finished. I could do better but that's okay.
Best, Nando

Wow! Spectacular work!

I'm not a paper purist. I can see that when I get around to building mine, I'll use other materials -- mainly Sculpey or plastic -- to make some of those small parts like the thrusters and tanks. I have neither the patience nor skill to fabricate those from paper.

Still other details for the after compartment. With these I completed the tanks:
In the first row four identical tanks (two for fuel and two for the oxidant) and the waste water tank

In the second two spherical tanks for the helium and the potable water tank

A detail of the two helium tanks

and all together in the palm of my hand to better render the proportions.

The two little boys gave me a hard time.

Best, Nando

With these parts I completed the making of the details of the rear compartment. Now I can move on to assemble the compartment as a whole and place tanks and details on the external walls.

PS: many attempts to try to reproduce at best discharges of some sort of gas or fluid

Best, Nando

Hey Nando,
what a lot of tiny parts you've managed.

Keep on ...

50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing gets closer every day - you going to celebrate by presenting this to the world finished on that day? Seriously, it is shaping up nicely.

... and this is only the beginning. By the way, is it seriously you that are talking about tiny parts? o_0

I am slow and lazy and for that day I will certainly not finish, but this will be like a year-long celebration

I decided to make the pedestal provided by the model to have a place to put the model while it is under construction. When I will have completed the model, I will study something to see the interiors.

Best, Nando
