Is the P-word allowed here?
hi guys
I've been listening to the shoutcast of Apollo 11 moon mission (with a delay of 40 years) Went to the model store the other day to get some spraypaint for a Ferrari F1-2005 model i have had since 2006 - and found that they sell the Revell Saturn V P-model wich will end up around 1 Meter in height they also had the LM, a model of Neil A "at the foot of the ladder" and a CSM, all in big scales. quick estimate was around SEK 2000 (approx 250 USD) for them all as i had something like them back in the 60-70's - DADDY WANTS :D it is a great hobby but paper is much cheaper and more easy to form and shape Have a Discovery Shuttle and Boosters from Revell wich i bought as the Kansas space museum back in 1991 - and still haven't started building (just painting the big tank and the lauchpad/crawler) thought i'll do Alphonse's discovery in Paper next to it just for comparison Just now the moon landing is only 33 hours away, they will dedicate monday evening at the Swedish TV to this event so now i wonder what glue i shall use to stick to the TV told my wife and son not to bother me during this time, and will hang the "do not disturb" sign on my nose /Håkan

It's about the models, not the medium for me. It's all altered carbon anyway. I've found the naturally nano-engineered carbon fiber models come in a greater variety, are easier to modify, have better graphics (don't need painting), are cheaper, and are easier to build from scratch than the cross linked, hydrogenated, and polymerized carbon versions. So, build what you like and share the results!
I'd highly recommend any of Alphonso's shuttles. Carefully built, they are superior to a model in any other material. Yogi |

If only Delta 7 would finish his Apollo series . . .
I keep bugging him, at least!

Or you can download Ton's 1:48 scale Saturn V from jleslie48.com (downloads, real space, about a quarter of the way down the page) and have a 2+ meter Saturn V to start on as soon as your printer stops smoking.

have started on Greel's Saturn V, just to find that i have 2 different scales on the parts :(
the thrust structure + the F1 engines were smaller than the S1C *bummer also ran out of paper (HAH) so i had to print again on the back of the wrong ones kinda lostr momentum there but i'll try to pick up the pace again
