Smile Low Poly Lunar Astronaut Celebrating the 50th Anniversary

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, I designed a low poly lunar astronaut from the famous photo taken on the moon. (now that I think about it, I'm not even sure this photo was from Apollo 11...) Anyhoo, here's a wip shot. Making two at once on this build, hence the doubles
I simplified the hands from the original model so I could make the build smaller.

It is from Apollo 11.

Have you considered putting the image on the helmet?

I had not thought of that. Maybe version 2? I had a heck of a time with that gold cardstock. Nothing really stuck to it but CA glue. My fingers got so much on them, I could barely work the touchpad on my laptop! Lol!
Yeah, I looked it up after posting, it's Apollo 11 alright, but it's actually a pic of Buzz Aldrin. Neil Armstrong took most of the photos, so it's his reflection in the visor.

That got me thinking. A few years back I bought a roll of gold or maybe brass metallic self-adhesive contact paper for a project that never really panned out. It had a mirror-like finish and may still be available in craft and/or office supply stores. Could be an alternative to the messy CA glue for future builders. Of course, you were nice enough to play guinea-builder and get the glue all over your fingers! lol

Ha ha, that idea did occur to me afterwards, and I promised my self I would go that route if I built another one, Thanks!
