Big glue, a bit more on Neil

Dear all

So I have done some more on Neil's third layer.

The waist

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14231.jpg

And then the two sides

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14236.jpg Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14237.jpg

It is starting to feel that the end is in sight of the big glue for Neil. However must stick to the plan and go back to Buzz next.

Regards

Kevin

More of Buzz on the big glue

Dear all

Along with the rest of the planet, stuff keeps getting in the way of things you want to do in your life. However a bit more progress with Buzz

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14268.jpg

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14269.jpg

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14275.jpg

So that is the third layer of Buzz's waist and sides. That is just the front and back of Neil and Buzz to go and the big glue will be over.

However with less than an hour to go till Christmas day for me here, just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas wherever you are and see you in 2021.

Kevin

Triple layer on Neil finished

Dear all

So I have managed a bit more progress on the big glue and have now completed Neil. The final sections were his front and back.

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14274.jpg Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14273.jpg

So that is Neil's torso now fully triple layered.
Just one more go to get Buzz to the same stage. Hopefully that will not take too long.

Happy new year to all

Regards

Kevin

I was hoping that you did not have a major issue. This thread was mighty quiet for a while.

Thanks for the post

Buzz triple layer finished

Dear all

Well it is finally over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have now completed Buzz's third layer. So that is both torsos triple layered

Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14277.jpg Life-Size Buzz and Neil (enlarged 1/4 Ken West "Apollo Astronauts on the Moon")-sdc14278.jpg

If I could do fireworks in the post they would be happening right now.

With regard to the models I am surprised by how strong they seem now they are triple layered. In fact I am thinking they might not need any further reinforcement.

Anyway, I have decided to move onto the arms because I can always come back and add the extra reinforcement I planned if needed since access into the torsos is good.

For all of you who have stuck through what must rank as one of the most torturous bits of a thread ever, why not treat yourself and celebrate some manner.

I am hopeful progress will be more interesting and regular now

Regards

Kevin
