Space Shuttle Columbia, STS-87, 1:144

Here is my first paper model that I'm building for several weeks now. Space Shuttle Columbia, STS-87, 1:144. Drawings are from AXM Paper Space Scale Models.

I decided to do it after reading a book of first Ukrainian astronaut Leonid Kadeniuk. He flew to space on this Shuttle in 1997.

Here are small slideshows that show the Shuttle itself and its external tank assembling process.

Shuttle fuel tank: https://youtu.be/6jAL2EWrLcU

Don't judge strictly. This is only my first paper modeling experience.

Nice work for your first build! Welcome to the addiction, er, I mean, hobby. Alfonso's models are very nice and you're doing fine....

Its great that you found a way to extend your reading. The shuttle has come together very nicely too Nickolaos. And nice to have the picture assembly stitch. That's a nice touch.

Thanks for all your feedback! It really inspires me!
I am really enjoying the process. Moreover Alfonso did a great job with detailed manuals. So it is quite easy to figure out how to assemble all parts together.

This is how I made one of side boosters: https://youtu.be/-PGFpocE9Sg

I finally put the shuttle, fuel tank and side boosters together (attached the photo).

Now I want to make the Pathfinder base and use it as a stand. I want to glue the mission logo under the shuttle and also print the STS-87 crew photo and use it as a background. It should look good I think. Will show you here when it will be done.
