Dear Jan:
Having a museum background I have a mental picture of a large Z scale Shelf layout with a z-scale trolly running past all the rockets, trees paths bathrooms and other interesting exhibits. Thanks for this thread, Miles

The assembly of the 100 inch telescope model of the Mount Wilson Observatory in the United States, Los Angeles area, is finished.
Mount Wilson Observatory | Inaugurated in 1917, the Hooker telescope remained for a very long time the largest telescope in the world, until the 5 meter Hale telescope on Mount Palomar was completed in 1949. Paper model at 1/150, reduced to 1/220, very complex (22 pages of parts and 29 pages of instructions not easy because without diagrams and with few photos), sold formerly on the website of the telescope for its maintenance. It is currently no longer available! |

Very impressive build. Are all larger telescopes of this type build and mounted in similar fashion?
Edit- 150Ft Solar observation tower got my attention. I never heard of that. One learns something new every day. |
