X15 'Pink Panther'

Hello chums,

Inspired by dhanners' series of X15 builds, I have recoloured Henry's original to depict X15 A2 in it's ablative coating prior to being painted white. It is in 1/72 scale and includes nose-wheel and ground handling dolly.

Just awaiting blast-off.

Cardist gave me a sneak peak of the model and all I can say is, it looks great. Fine job of repainting and it will make for a VERY unique model.

This spring, there weren't that many models available of the X-15, arguably the most important research plane of the past couple of generations. A couple of months later, it is a whole different story....

Now it's time to create a good, well-detailed and well-drawn model of the X-20 Dyna Soar. The only one I ever found for free was the one from Takumi, which is hopelessly outdated and pixelated.
I wish I was good at Illustrator, which I am not, otherwise I would have given it a try long time ago...

As it happens, Mark Cable is working on an X-20. I eagerly await it....

Oh really!? Wow! That will be something to look out for indeed!
I have this specific 'what-if'-build in my head for ages now already. A well-designed X-20 would finally make it come true.

An X-20 docking with the MOL would be cool....
