Apollo CSM?

Aside from Surfduke's Apollo Command and Service Modules in the Downloads section, is anyone aware of an accurate and detailed (i.e., shows the stenciling, etc.) card model of the CSM?

Thanks....

the only other one I can think of is sir Ken West's Apollo CM sir Dave, but it doesn't have a matching SM though...

Thanks. Hadn't thought of Alfonso's offering.

If I do one, I want to do one of the Skylab flights. I'm finding I may have to mix'n'match parts from different kits.

I will be releasing the Apollo Soyuz again in a week or two. Working thru the old files now.

I built your CSM (as Apollo 7) 13 years ago. May wind up using your CM pieces as patterns for a Skylab version, since you include one, but the SM had some additional white panels on it.

I probably want to try it in 1/48th.

Nice work!

I don't remember if my SM had the Skylab mod. as one of the options. If not, I'll update it in the future. Thanks, For the heads up. The white was the same paint material as mobile home roof repair called KoolSeal. They put it on the CM too.

Thanks. Am I to assume the silver portion of the CM was still Kapton tape on the Skylab versions?

Yes it was.

They painted right over it. There was some concern that it would cause some issues on re-entry but thank the Lord it was not.

The Rescue CM, (On display in the Saturn Center at the Cape), Had (6) seats. I have details on that too. If you want to include them as a option.

Also make a note that the internals of the SM got a quick make over to re-route some of the plumbing that was at/near the skin to the core area. I'll dig up some of the info I have on that if you plan to do the internals.

I am also finally writing instructions for Skylab and plan to have it out for download around Christmas. If you want to build it finally. I know lots of folks have ask me to finish it.

enjoy Your Day!
