Cassini's Terrestrial Globe - Paperpino.net

Had to take a break from building because I needed to replace my printer's printheads because it wasn't printing yellow at all.. Now that this matter is resolved and my printer started to print yellow again, I printed and started to build Paperpino's Cassini Terrestrial Globe, and I already finished the support, the base, the Northen Emisphere and also prepared the central rod wich will support the 2 emispheres. I plan to glue additional paper to reinforce the emispheres before I continue the building. See you on the next update post,

Cheers,

Gregory.

Looks good.
Pino makes some nice globes. My advice would be to make sure the two hemispheres line up correctly when joining them. They should not give you any trouble.

Excellent start. How much trouble is it to replace print heads?

It is very easy, I just need to access the printhead slots on the printing carriage, open the latch wich holds the printheads(my printer is an HP Ink Tank 416, by the way), remove the old ones, place the new ones and automatically the printer starts the priming process, then right after that I can do the alignment of the new printheads. After I did all of this, the printer is ready to be used. It's been more than 2 years since my mother bought this printer on a black friday here in Brazil, so the printheads were already over the expiration date, so the missing yellow could've happened anytime, glad we managed to find replacements on a online store.

I will build today the South Emisphere, so as soon I finish everything you'll see the pictures of the finished globe,

Cheers,

Gregory

After a bit of struggle in joining the 2 halfs, I managed to finish the globe. The result is astonishing, have to give kudos to Pino for such a great work on these globe models. Itching to make the other globe models Pino have, but unfortunately I don't have enough space for storing all of them. See you on the next build thread.

Cheers,

Gregory
