1:144 Saturn V Launch Umbilical Tower (LUT) from EDU Craft Diversions

Started building this EDU Craft Diversions, 1:144 scale Saturn V LUT paper model on August 27th and am only now starting to affix each of the many decks to their vertical girders.

It's interesting that, so far it's not an overly difficult build but it does require quite a bit of patience and concentration ................... for me anyway

If anyone else here has built this model I'd love to see your builds

Finally made all the Tower Sections and done another dry fit to double check everything before gluing things down permanently.

Still a lot to do.......

Glad to see your posting here. I have been following your progress on Facebook.
Did you use frame braces for the base platform?
What did you use the core of the elevator shaft?

I've been wanting to purchase their 1:100 kit for my Estes model so I'll be watching to see how it's done.

Really nice building, thanks for showing the progress.
I bought the same model, 1:96 scale, but I don't start it yet due to the usual relativistic issues (space and time)

Great job, Dave,
the LUT is predestined for David Maier's Paper Kit because of the many repetitive parts. The swing arms will bring variety.

I used Black foam board to frame out the base and also the central core.
The central core developed a bend as it dried but I corrected it by slicing across it at various levels so that the fitting of the Tower Sections and decks easily brought it back to straight................... as far as I can tell ..
