Partly On-Topic -- Flying 1/48th Scale Saturn V
Hey guys, check this out.
http://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/main.asp?SectionID=23&SubSectionID=37&ArticleID=6 3302 and http://www.estowe.net/saturn_v/ This gentleman has built a pretty incredible Saturn V. But why does this belong here, you ask? He based his LUT on my tiny little 1/480th scale model at Jon Leslie's site! I traded a couple e-mails with him. He's a good guy, and I wish him the best in his flight. To quote him, "I enlarged the flat drawings and printed them on a color laser digital printer and glued them to foam board. I spent all my time on scratch building the Saturn V and decided late to add a LUT and MLP for launch visual effect." It's pretty cool how our hobby can be used in so many different, unexpected ways. Hmmm... about an hour away from me. Wonder if I can make it out. Would certainly be a sight to see...
