Billy,
GREAT pictures! These will be a big help towards improving the model. I had to guess at a few things along the way, and these cleared up some of the design questions. I love the shot of the HL-10 and X-24B in front of the Guppy, which I've never seen before. My older brother was one of the original Load Masters on the Guppy for Jack Conroy. I'm going to have to ask whether he was part of this operation. Thank you very much for the reference photos. |

Hey, is this not the plane that helped to get the 6 Million Dollar Man off to a jump start.

Hello Fellow Space Cadets,
Umtutsut is correct. Although the footage of the crash was the M2-F2 (in which Bruce Peterson was injured), from what I remember the show always referred to the HL-10 as the aircraft involved in the crash. In any case, the HL-10 was always my favorite lifting body for what is to me a more aerodynamic shape, along with the clear nose and the pilot situated down in the fuselage (no bulbous raised canopy). I'm hoping that the completed card model will be a pleasing build for all of you. Steve "I don't look like Lee Majors" Austin |
