Resist the temptation to over frame a project
At the risk of incurring the wrath of all the glowing reports, I will give my opinion here. Although the actual model itself is well done the surrounding frame visually overwhelms it. It's just way to much wood. The frame should always be subordinate visually to the main artwork.
Even while in graduate school fine arts program people would constantly make this mistake. I hope that these comments will be taken in the spirit that they are given. I know that everyone only likes to receive praise for their work but sometimes a little constructive criticism is good too. |
