Hi Rick,

Being an N Scale addict, I like RR, just in a much smaller format. This should be interesting to watch. With all these Locomotive builds going on and watching some, I am sure that I will eventually be sucked into the vortex of larger scale RRing'. LOL

Continued work on 1st bumper. Used again Avantcard 1.5 nuts&bolts. I never can keep the ones as provided concentric to ea. other and find it alot easier to use the one produced by Avantcard.biz. 0.5 & 1.0 mm card purchased from Kris @ Paper Model Store was used for lamination of the printed parts. 39 parts make up what you see and front bumper is not even 1/2 way there yet. I intend to seal w/Sig Nitrate Dope and after the complete chassis is finished, paint with Vallejo Scale Black, sealing the paint w/their type clear semi over coat. Stuff works great on card models.

A couple of photographs of the real thing. This Electric Loco must have been a huge beast.

Front Bumper glued up. Still have items to add. But this gives a good idea of the front of the chassis.

Should be posting some further build photos soon. This thing is a very complicated assembly, spending more time figuring out the sequence to assemble, than building the part. But hey that's what makes building this type model so appealing. If it were easy, anybody could build them, wait a minute, anybody can. LOL

Looks Good! Quick question: Is this a narrow or standard gauge engine?

Hello modelperry, I believe it is a standard gauge. From what little ref and photos I have found of this Locomotive, it looks like it was a monster. The scale compared to men standing around it make it look like a whale. So I can only summarize that it was a standard gauge. I will tell you this, from the size of the printed cabs, platforms and size of the wheels, this thing will be a beast when completed. To be honest, it is the largest Locomotive I have undertaken so far.

A footnote: My plain is to paint the chassis, but retain the printed upper works as it comes in the kit. However, this may change, vallejo makes a color green that matches very closely the color as printed.

Hello all, has been awhile. I have been building and flying RC Sailplanes and have put Paper Modeling on the back burner, did I say that.

Any ho, I am back @ work on the last project I started, the E92.

So, hope to post some progress soon from where I stopped. Glad to see all my friends and I am sorry I have not kept in touch.
