Smile Micromodels LMS Princess Coronation

A Micromodel from set M II (thanks again, Phillip). I have set up a guide on how to build it, not because it's defective, but simply because it is tricky.

When you build up the front of the streamlined casing, it is best to curve out the sides and bottom before fitting it over the formers. Same goes with the section behind this, and the boiler casing. As the pictures will show, I make the formers on the footplate before gluing the footplate to the chassis.

Only other big modification I did was the shape of the tender backside to cover a scratch! It is more accurate now, the "winged" sections look like this on the actual locomotive. The number is 6244, so it's name would be "King George VI".

Now for the photos:

Another pretty train. If you hit the yellow button above the text box, you can put your pics from photobucket into your posts BTW.

Thanks, I'll remember that. The image files are very large, so I was concerned they'd not fit in the post window.

Thanks. On that particular photo, I took it with the room lights out with a flashlight shining over the model to get good lighting.

A model usually takes up 2-3 days to make up. One model (Gladstone) went up within a day.
