Micromodels Set F I
This is a scan of another set of locomotives. Initially printed in 1947, the two locomotives are the DRG Class 05 and the PLM 221B.
I have begun the DRG Class 05 and will have it ready in a day or two. I will probably start the other later. |
JustInn,
What scale are these Micro Models? Would they be considered "N" scale (1/160)? I'm going to try doing some of my trains in "N" scale and see how those go. I hope they come out as good as yours look. - Mark |
They were never initially designed to an exact scale. The closest would be 1:200 scale, however some of the models were a bit larger in scale than others.

Here is the first model, a German State Railways streamlined locomotive (DRG Class 05).
I had to do the wheels twice as the marker to color the underside bled through. http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0358.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0359.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0360.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0365.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0366.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0368.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0370.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0371.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...CIMG0372-1.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0373.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...4/CIMG0374.jpg |
You do such an excellent job with these. One of these days, I'll have to decide what I want to be good at ...
