Steam Engine BR 58
Hi all,
today I want to start with another engine, this time a steam engine for freight trains. It will be the G12 of the prussian railways, later named BR 58 in Germany. Between 1917 and 1921 nearly 1600 engines of this kind were built. More informations you will find here: Preußische G 12 ? Wikipedia A video with an active BR 58 you can see here: Volldampf im Dreizylindertakt - BR 58 - YouTube The last engines were sorted out in the year 1976 in East-Germany. Again it's a kit of Albrecht Pirling and again I reduced the Scale to 1:50. There are 11 sheets for the engine and 5 sheets for the tender. Wish you all a merry christmas. Dieter |

Hi Tim, thank you.
Hi all, starting with the kit needed some extra preparations: I want to cut out the black parts between the spokes of the wheels. In this case the frame of the engine shouldn't be white, but coloured, because it will be visible. So the first task was to recolour some parts of the kit with inkscape. Then the frame was glued together and that was already the first step of assembly. Greetings Dieter |

Hi Adolf,
thank you. I really like to build Albrechts trains. Hi all, some progress withe the drivers cabin. The parts fit excellent, the windows were glassed with overhead transparency. The inner cover was assembled and the cabin mounted for a first try onto the frame. Greetings and a Merry Christmas Dieter |

Hi all,
some first steps with the boiler: I want to add some more details and give a view through the fireboxdoor, so this part will take some more time. Happy new year 2014 Dieter |

Hallo Dieter, looks good so far!
I'm also building this BR 58 in 1:48, but have any problems with the manual. The download ist the same how yours (from Pleiner), but there is away the half of "Detailblatt 2".... I build it in original, so without more tuning. This is my present level.... But I do not make a building report... |

@Adolf Pirling:
Greetings from Poznan, Poland, - Tex (Sorry for the many mistakes I'll doubtlessly have made ... can't help it!) |

Hallo Tex!
