This one looks very good
I like the finish and weathering. There is a threat called "Shunters" that has some straightforward small diesels. You might like building them. They are in the Downloads section here.

Much better then my first one that's in a landfill now. Cutting circles must be one of the major questions and source of agony in paper modeling.
Look forward to see what you come up with next. |

Your build looks very good. I wish you to find some lasersut parts. As you have seen, there is Ol-49 modelik 1:25 on my table. It is pretty hard work. But i beleave in sucess.
It's my 2nd work. And I would be happy if it will look as good as your build. |

Weathering on your train looks ok. What I would advise is look at real or pictures of such things as diggers and other machinery that gets rusty and or paint scraped.

Avoid wheels altogether
If you put your chasises (sp?) on model locomotives and run them on a track you don;t need to worry about wheels.
I do GN15, which is 1/2" scale narrow gauge industrial on HO gauge motive power. Cheap and fun. otherDoc |

Wow, if that is your first paper model, you have found your hobby. You are off to a great start! You say you made a few mistakes, I don't see them, overall, the locomotive looks fantastic. When you build your next model, it will probably be even better. You seem to be a natural at this. Nice build!

In my opinion, You done well. Especially the very first paper model with painting/weathering. I've got only one question... where are tracks?

I havent made the tracks yet. I started on the second model. I guess I will make the tracks together. I am yet to figure out a way to get realistic ballast and grass. Any DIY ideas?
