A-4 Pacific, Sir Nigel Gresley
Just to inform you that designer Cor van Haasteren and I are nearing completion of an O-scale model of this famous locomotive, sister to the Mallard which holds the world speed record for steam engines. The Mallard can be seen in York (UK). The Sir Nigel Gresley serves regularly on the Whitby - Pickering museum line in the UK, but also does special, very much longer runs - even on its original line from London to Edinborough (the Flying Scotsman). Lots of information and pictures on Google, and via Google Images.
The price will probably be ca. 25 EUR, perhaps lower if I get enough reservations! We are still considering a download option. Please pm or mail me ([email protected]) if you wish to reserve a copy! More information later today on my site, - Zeist Bouwplaten - Import, verkoop, ontwerp en productie van papieren schaalmodellen, maquettes en bouwplaten (cardmodels), Modelbouw, Rietveld cutoutmodels. Reality photo by kind permission of Phil Brown. The other two show stages in the development of the tender. |

1/45 is a good choice for scale. Great choice.

A printed version at 1/25 would become far too expensive to produce. Also, it would have to be A3 size - meaning extra high postage costs. So we will stick to O-gauge. If and when we decide to make a download print-youself version available we will consider this option as well, of course.
For the moment: the chassis is now nearing completion. I hope to have more pictures early next week. Do send reservations if you are interested - see the first entry in this thread! |
