Thanks, Kevin.

Like Don, I also had a great half hour at lunch yesterday watching the tram in the snow. Also decided to turn on the local radio station.

Fred - glad you enjoyed the webcam too!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, nearly finished now.

After I got the main body done finally, there just remained the little bits! And they are very little.

Picture 1 - the base, body and catenary. Nearly done!

Picture 2 - this shows the two little boxes that go on the body.

Box number 2 is pretty tricky as it is actually only 4 sided (I posted its cut shape alongside) and has tiny tabs to secure it. To make certain it fitted, I used a very fine set of tweezers and soaked it in glue so it was really soft and pliable - this helped in both positioning it and then poking it into shape!

Picture 3 - The catenary. Easy enough to make. This has has a small strip (the contact pick-up) that has to be stuck to the top, with the ends bent down. Don't forget this - it does add to the model!

Great little model, Kevin. I am looking at it while listening to Radio Kiss 98 from Prague.

Thanks Marcin, Don!

At least its so small I don't have a storage issue. Have it in a small tin with a couple of others!

"I also changed my glue I normally use (normal white glue) as it is too fast drying, and instead I used glue stick. The latter looks and works like lipstick and is used by children here for their projects. Basically I apply bits with my knife blade and it enables a long working time."

Scotch/3M has come out with a "wrinkle-free" glue stick. It's clear. The instructions say to apply at least 2 strokes. I don't know how that would work with the knife-blade technique.
